One of the many benefits of apartment living is not having to worry about making any repairs in your sanctuary. This is where our experienced maintenance team comes into play. Whether our team is preparing an apartment for a future resident or repairing and replacing parts around the building, the work of the maintenance team is instrumental in keeping Aperture in one piece. Ronald Mercado, Service Manager
Q: What do you love most about working at Aperture?
A: Working at Aperture is about challenging yourself every day. When there’s a new lease, we come together as a team to work side by side with integrity and determination to insure a smooth operation for our residents.
Q: What has been your proudest moment working at Aperture?
A: In the past two years, in 2018 and 2019, I was nominated as Service Manager of the Year. To me, this reflects all the effort and passion that I put into my responsibilities here at Aperture. This is not just a job; this is my life.
Q: What’s one interesting fact people may not know about you?
A: I am one of the few Latino harmonica blues players in the metropolitan area.
Q: What do you like to do outside of the office?
A: I enjoying spending time with my children, cooking on the grill, and playing music.
Q: If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
A: I would love to speak Mandarin fluently.
Q: What’s the first thing you would do if you won the lottery?
A: The first thing I would do is look for a partnership with The Bozzuto Group and invest my money in real estate.
Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
A: To be patient and tolerant.
Christopher Pruitt, Assistant Maintenance Manager
Q: How long have you been working at Aperture? What brought you to work here?
A: I have been with Aperture for 10 months now. I came here from another Bozzuto community in Reston Town Center where I was the a maintenance technician. After applying and interviewing, I was hired on as assistant maintenance manager.
Q: What do you love most about working at Aperture?
A: My team. Not just my maintenance team, but the entire staff here at Aperture. Everyone is always willing to help out no matter what is needed, and that's what teamwork is all about.
Q: What do you like to do outside of the office?
A: I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two small children, Mackenzie and Cameron. Life is short, and I try to enjoy every minute that I can with the ones I love, as often as possible.
Q: What’s the first thing you would do if you won the lottery?
A: Pay off all the debt that my parents and in-laws have. They have spent their entire lives working to make life better for their children, and it's only fair that we take any opportunity we may have to make their lives easier for a change.
Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
A: That nothing is ever as bad, or as good, as we think it is in the moment.This, too, shall pass.
Q: Favorite place in Reston?
A: Definitely the PokeHub in Reston Town Center. They serve consistently delicious poke. If you haven't had it yet, you're missing out and should go try it as soon as possible.
Tarekegn Imana, Maintenance Technician
Q: How long have you been working at Aperture? What brought you to work here?
A: I have been working at Aperture for almost a year and a half. I am part of a great team here, where teamwork is a priority.
Q: What do you love most about working at Aperture?
A: There is a great atmosphere and sense of camaraderie amongst the staff.
Q: What has been your proudest moment working at Aperture?
A: It has overall been the ability to provide great service to the residents and future residents of our community.
Q: What’s one interesting fact people may not know about you?
A: That I am extremely honest and a very hard worker.
Q: What do you like to do outside of the office?
A: I love to play soccer.
Q: Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?
A: My favorite place I’ve traveled to was New York. I took a trip with my family, and it was a great experience and opportunity to enjoy time together.
Eleazar Canizo, Maintenance Technician
Q: How long have you been working at Aperture? What brought you to work here?
A: I am new to Aperture as of two weeks ago, and it has been a great transition! Before coming here, I worked with a different company near Hyattsville that specializes in garden-style apartments.
Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
A: Enjoy life.
Q: What’s one interesting fact people may not know about you?
A: I have a passion for agriculture.
Q: What do you like to do outside of the office?
A: I enjoy fishing.
Q: Favorite TV Show?
A: Everybody Loves Raymond.
Q: What’s the first thing you would do if you won the lottery?
A: Travel around the world.

Our team is here to make your experience in our community one that is stress free and unforgettable.
